    Hi Ed and everyone. What’s the downside (or possible damage) to leaving a Glock pistol racked and cocked all the time? I keep hearing half good and half bad. Many thanks for your expert opinion.


    People always hear do not leave a gun cocked etc… but with quality guns we never have to change springs or so very seldom I would say not to worry.

    I would close the slide for long term storage. As far as dry firing a gun I think its a waste of time…..

    Since 1976 maybe change 5 springs and could have been rusty stretched or just tampered with..
