The following link is to a blog explaining how states are standing up for our constitutional rights by guaranteeing non compliance with many future unconstitutional laws, I for one hope to see North Carolina as one of these pioneering amendment protecting states.

Each state that persues this avenue is going to run into a lot of legal battles. Article VI, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution is known as the Supremacy Clause because it provides that the “Constitution, and the Laws of the United States … shall be the supreme Law of the Land.” Congress often acts without intent to preempt state policy making or with an intent to preempt state policy on a limited set of issues. Congress may intend state and federal policies to coexist. Some federal legislation preempts state law, however, usually because Congress believes its law should be supreme for reasons of national uniformity.

Any way you look at this, it’s gonna be a long drawn out battle, and gun owners across America need to step up and email, call, write, or whatever means of communication they choose, their respective elected members of Congress and let them know their position and why. Remind those individuals that they were elected to represent the people and not theirs (or some lobbyists) agenda.

New York is already in turmoil as thousands are defying state law and refusing to even register their firearms.

Another link that shows a map of states that have legislation in progress to accomplish this is:

This has a connection to a link that has model legislation that can be provided to your state reps and senators.

I think its time to stand up for our rights or loose them.
